Sally Wilson is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has approximately 25 years-experience as a registered nurse and over 18 years of experience as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) working at the Rape Treatment Center (RTC), UCLA Health System, Santa Monica, CA since 2002. The RTC provides sexual assault examinations to approximately 1000 patients annually. Sally became the Clinic Coordinator at the RTC in 2006 and currently supervises a staff of 18-20 SAFE NP’s. She performs acute adolescent/adult, suspect and acute & non-acute pediatric examinations. Sally provides medical forensic training for law enforcement sexual assault courses. She participates in trainings for local district attorneys, law enforcement agencies, Universities, and hospitals. Sally has participated in teaching at CCFMTC adolescent/adult/pediatric sexual assault examiner trainings and the forensic photography training. She also testifies as an expert witness for sexual assault cases in California.
